Bishop to Celebrate Red Mass in Basilica Sept. 26 at 5:15 PM

Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend will lead a traditional Red Mass on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 5:15 pm in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

The purpose of the Red Mass is to invoke God’s blessings on those responsible for the administration of justice as well as on all public officials. This annual mass is open to all faiths and encouraged for those working in law and politics.…

First Tolkien Lecture Tonight in Debartolo 155 at 8 PM

The first lecture in this year's Catholic Literature series will occur TONIGHT in DeBartolo 155 at 8PM. Professor David Fagerberg of the Notre Dame Theology Department will give a lecture entitled, "Tolkien's Home: The Inklings, Story-Telling, and Romantic Theology."
