The de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture is proud to once again sponsor students, faculty, and staff from Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, and Holy Cross College to attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C. Travel Reimbursements

The de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture will be offering travel reimbursements for Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, and Holy Cross faculty, staff, and graduate students, as well as Holy Cross priests and seminarians, to attend the March for Life in Washington, DC. Submit your request before January 10th using this form. Contact dCEC Culture of Life Program Manager Petra Farrell at marchforlife@nd.edu with any questions.

Lodging

For your convenience, the dCEC has reserved a block of rooms at the JW Marriott. Please note: rooms within the block are limited and must be booked before Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Travel on the Student Buses

The Notre Dame Right to Life club is offering bus transportation to the March for $35 round-trip. Information and registration available here. Please note: bus transportation must be booked before Monday, December 18, 2023.


Schedule of Events

Mass with the Marchers – Friday, January 19, at 8:30 a.m.

The Notre Dame contingent will pray together at Life Fest hosted by the Sisters of Life and the Knights of Columbus. Eucharistic Adoration begins at 8:30 a.m., and Holy Mass at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, January 19. For information and tickets to Life Fest, click here.

March for Life – Friday, January 19, at 11:30 a.m.

The Notre Dame group plans to meet on 14th St. NW between Madison Dr. NW and Jefferson Dr. SW (near the Washington Monument and the National Museum of African-American History and Culture; click the address to open Google Maps) at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Students will be carrying the large Notre Dame Right to Life banner.

Holy Mass – Saturday, January 20, at 9:30 a.m.

All are welcome to join the Notre Dame group at 9:30 a.m. for Holy Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 400 Michigan Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20017.

Art for Life Tour at the National Gallery of Art – Saturday, January 20, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon)

Join us for a 75-minute narrated tour of the National Gallery of Art (Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20565), focusing on pieces that evoke the Culture of Life. Gather under the dome of the Mercury Fountain in the Rotunda of the West Building. No RSVP necessary. The tour will be led by Mike Rippy, Digital & Special Projects Program Manager at the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, and Ken Hallenius, Communications Specialist at the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture.
