Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson is Prefect of the Vatican's Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. During his years in the Roman Curia, he has also served as President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, and been a member of the Congregation for Catholic Education, the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, the Pontifical Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church, the Pontifical Committee for International Eucharistic Congresses, and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
