The Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture is pleased to host some of the winning student filmmakers from the Angelus Awards Student Film Festival (sponsored by Family Theater Production in Hollywood). The evening will begin with a screening of the award-winning short films (lasting about an hour), followed by a Q&A with the directors moderated by the director of the Angelus Awards, Monika Moreno.
This is a FREE, but ticketed event. So folks are urged to contact the ticket office at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, 574-631-2800 or performingarts.nd.edu.
The Angelus Student Film Festival honors future filmmakers as they explore and create works that respect the dignity of the human person. Angelus alumni include Sundance winners Patricia Cardoso (“Real Women Have Curves”) and Tony Bui (“Three Seasons” and “Green Dragon”). Other Angelus winners include directors Greg Marcks (“11:14” starring Hilary Swank), Jessica Sharzer (“Speak” on Showtime), and Sabrina Dhawan (screenwriter “Monsoon Wedding”).
