Breaking Bread, Spring 2006:
Walking with Cleopas

The theme of Breaking Bread for Spring 2006 was "Walking with Cleopas: Emmaus and the Theological Life". Fr. Michael Heintz, Rector of St. Matthew Cathedral and teacher in the Notre Dame Department of Theology, was our opening speaker.

The dinner took place in the Notre Dame Stadium Press Box on April 25, 2006. Participants arrived around 6:00 and had some time to mingle and get to know each other while enjoying the view. Dinner began at 6:30. There were seven students and one professor at each table. At the beginning of dinner, Fr. Heintz spoke about "Walking with Cleopas: Emmaus and the Theological Life". His remarks were meant to serve as a springboard for the small-group discussions that followed. The evening wrapped up around 8:30.
