Breaking Bread, Spring 2004:
Do not be afraid

The theme of Breaking Bread Spring 2004 was "Do not be afraid". It is one of the most repeated lines in Scripture, and we focused the dinner discussion on what it means to live without fear. Fr. Bill Miscamble, CSC, was our opening speaker, giving a brief reflection on "Fear and the Christian Life".

The dinner took place in the Notre Dame Stadium Press Box on March 23, 2004. Participants arrived around 6:00 and had some time to mingle and get to know each other while enjoying the view. Dinner started at 6:30. There were seven students and one professor at each table. At the beginning of dinner, Fr. Miscamble spoke about "Fear and the Christian Life". His remarks were meant to serve as a springboard for the small-group discussions that followed. The evening wrapped up around 8:30.
