Breaking Bread
Breaking Bread

"Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people." (Acts 2:46-47a)

What is Breaking Bread?
Breaking Bread is an event designed to give Notre Dame students the opportunity to engage in faith-based discussion over dinner with their peers and professors. It's not a lecture, and there's no long-term commitment. All we require is that participating students show up at the ND Stadium Press Box with an open mind and an empty stomach. All ND students are welcome to participate, regardless of their faith commitment. The idea is just to give students an evening to come together and enjoy each other's company and leave with some new considerations about their faith. The Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture plans to hold a Breaking Bread dinner each semester.

How do I become a participant in Breaking Bread?

Watch the Center's website for announcements regarding each semester's dinner opportunity. After an announcement of the date for Breaking Bread and the invitation to participate has been issued, all you have to do is email us at ethics2@nd.edu. Give us your name, local phone number, current mailing address, major and class year. This information will be used for this event only. The first eighty students to respond are in! If you have questions, feel free to send us an email or call us at (574) 631-9656.
